VERTICAL WITH JESUS
The One Thing
Life is horizontal! It is consumed with activities, people, events, as well as in the things that are going on inside us. We are so earthly focused! (And we need to be). But our spiritual focus is hindered when we are solely focused on the horizontal plane of our existence. There’s one thing that we need to know, and is the “sweet spot” at the intersection of our horizontal and vertical planes of life.
Talk With Jesus
Life is horizontal! It is consumed with activities, people, events, as well as in the things that are going on inside us. The challenge is to get vertical with Jesus. Thankfully, Jesus himself was an example for us. In the same way He got vertical with His Heavenly Father, we get vertical with our Heavenly Father. Let’s learn to be a “house of prayer”.

Refocus in Fear
We wrap up our series, Vertical With Jesus, by addressing something we all face — fear. What do we do when fear grips our hearts? How can we rise above it?
The answer is refocus — turning our eyes toward a God who is bigger than anything we fear. When we shift our attention to His presence, strength and goodness, fear begins to lose its grip.
This message will encourage and strengthen your faith as you learn how to stand firm instead of giving in to fear.
