Towards Generosity

As we talk about having an open heart and an open hand, we want to look at a time when some churches in Europe were taking up a collection for the “mother” church at Jerusalem who were experiencing extreme poverty. Paul writes to the Corinthian church and encourages them to be generous. Generosity begins in the heart and then shows up in practice. This world needs many more people to be generous – and Christians should be the most generous people on earth.
